As a young Catholic, unaffiliated with the clergy, Gregory is uniquely qualified to reach his peers and share the true, joyful meaning of Christianity. Over the last seven years he has been actively involved in RCIA ministry at Seattle’s St. James Cathedral. His
conversations with these adults, curious yet doubtful about Catholicism helped prompt him to write his book Catholicism Renewed. The RCIA program in the Seattle Archdiocese has become a model for RCIA instruction, featured by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in their ABC-TV special “Come to the Water: The Adult Journey of Baptism.”
For six years Mr. Phillips worked at ‘One Way Christian Book Shop’, and its small affiliate publisher ‘Sunrise Books’. This experience exposed him to book marketing, inventory management, distributing, and publishing. As the son of Michael Phillips, who has made over a three decade career as a Christian author, Gregory learned first-hand the writing craft and marketing of books to this audience.
Gregory Phillips’ writing has appeared in the “Social Justice Review”, “Leben” and the St. James Cathedral newsletter, “In Your Midst”. Gregory received his Bachelor of the Arts degree from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA. Recently married he lives with his wife Rachel in Seattle, WA.
